Open Hour

 

Need extra time and space to practice? Come in during open floor time and work out. The best way to improve and advance is to practice outside class

 

In addition to the formal class schedule there are also periods of time when the mat is open and there is no instruction. You could call to schedule Private lessons or just used the dojo to practice on your own anytime during open business hours.

 

Kata

 

Our Kata classes focus on the fundamental techniques of karate (kihon waza); proper form and execution of kata technique; and bunkai - an analysis of how and why the technique works.

Karate (Children ages 6-8)

 

Our ages 6-8 program introduces more substantial martial art skills along with the concepts of focus, teamwork and discipline. The program focuses on improving children’s basic listening, recognition, and motor skills. These skills will help them enter society with a more confident and enthusiastic outlook. They will become better students at school, better listeners at home and more ambitious towards the future.

Karate (Children ages 9-12)

 

This program focuses on improving not only basic motor skills, listening, and life skills, but challenges the student by adding more of the traditional martial arts training and increasing the level of intensity

 

We promote non-violent resolutions to conflict. More than any other sport, Karate gives our children the chance to explore their innate powers.  

 

Karate (Children ages 13-15)

 

Our martial arts program for teens provides a positive, fun, and challenging activity that helps them develop social skills while they remain active and stay in shape.

 

We know that teens don't want to be lectured to or criticized, but we also believe they need to be around positive role models as they become more independent and self-directed.

 

That's why we allow our teen students to train in our adult programs. Your teen will enjoy that they get to work out in a mature environment, and the end result is that they'll have a positive influence in their lives as well.

 

Karate (Adult ages 16-up)

 

Our Adult Karate classes are designed to bring out the very best in you. No matter what your age, you can benefit from our programs to fit any physical conditions or concerns you may have. Our classes provide a total fitness package combining strength, endurance, flexibility, balance and improved judgment skills that have benefited our thousands of adult students in all walks of life.

Aikido

 

Our Aikido classes cover the full Doshinkan Syllabus and include general physical fitness and conditioning, techniques of throwing, pinning, falling and rolling, striking, grabbing, freestyle defense against multiple opponents, and in techniques with traditional weapons.

Magen Sel-defense

 

Our Self Defense programs provide fundamental and practical lessons in basic self defense. The program is designed to educate the common citizen to increase his or her abilities and confidence to become more aware, alert, and able to defend against common physical attacks.
